A graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1981, he then matriculated to Yale University, where he received simultaneous undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics, graduating Summa Cum Laude and elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Larry began his career with Goldman Sachs as a Securities Analyst then with Plaza Investment Managers, where he worked with Louis Simpson to manage the GEICO investment portfolio. Larry is survived by his wife Sue and his children Daniel, Alexandra and Jack; his parents, Harold and Shirley and brothers Brian and Mark. Services will be Friday, November 16 at 10am at Temple Solel in Cardiff by the Sea, CA. A memorial celebration of Larry's life will be held in New York City at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's name to the American Cancer Society, The Yale Golf Team or the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.

Dearest Sue,
It was with deep horror, shock and sadness that I learned the news of Larry's sudden passing. He was such a lovely man that I only can think God always had bigger plans for him and that Larry fought many years with his healthy habits and lifestyle to avoid His call. My heart breaks for you and the kids. I am sorry I have been so out of touch but love you and hope you are finding strength with your loved ones.
In greatest sympathy,
Lulu

As a close childhood friend of Larry's wife Sue, I send my sincere condolences to Larry's family. From their magical wedding in New York to the other occasions I was fortunate enough to spend time with them as a couple, Larry was always gracious, generous, and very kind, all qualities that will live on with his children.

I lost my good friend. He was such a kind thoughtful person who deeply loved his wife and children. He was blessed to have such loving parents and brothers as they provided much comfort to him. Larry inspired everyone to become the best they could be and it wasn't just work. Anything worth doing was worth doing well. Thanks Larry, you will be missed.
