KATZENBACH--Nicholas. The Board of Directors of Americans for Oxford (AFO) and the entire Oxford community mourn the passing of Nicholas Katzenbach. A loyal and devoted Oxonian throughout his life, Nick's link to Oxford began when he won the Rhodes Scholarship in 1947. He succeeded as a scholar, soldier, lawyer, teacher and public servant. His work on behalf of civil rights exemplifies all that Oxford hopes its graduates will embody: courage, wisdom and moral fortitude. Nick's service to Oxford took many forms, including a successful tenure as Chairman of AFO. We extend our sincere condolences to Lydia and the Katzenbach family. Paul M. Dodyk, Chairman, Americans for Oxford; Michael G. Cunningham, Exec. Director, Oxford NA Office.
