STRAUS--Oscar S., II. The Trustees and community of the American Museum of Natural History are saddened by the death of Oscar Straus. He was elected a Trustee of the Museum in 1953 and served for nearly four decades before becoming an Honorary Trustee in 1991. An individual of broad experience, he lent his wisdom to championing the Museum's mission of scientific exploration and education about the natural world and human cultures during a period of institutional growth, for which we are enormously grateful. Our deepest sympathies go to his wife, Joan, and the entire Straus family. Lewis W. Bernard, Chairman Ellen V. Futter, President
