DARROW--Peter V. The lawyers and staff of DLA Piper mourn the passing of our partner, colleague and friend, Peter V. Darrow. He died on Sunday, May 19, 2013 in New York City. Peter was widely recognized as one of the country's top finance and securities lawyers, with a particular emphasis on Latin America and other emerging markets. But beyond his consummate skills as a legal practitioner and business advisor, he was a leader and mentor to so many at DLA Piper and before, for many years, as a partner at Mayer Brown. In addition, he elevated his profession through his involvement in pro bono work, including serving as chair of The Cambodia Trust, a provider of medical relief and rehabilitation support for landmine victims in Cambodia, an officer and board member of the Trinity College, Oxford Society, and a board member of Everybody Wins!, a national literacy and mentoring nonprofit organization. Peter was a man of integrity, intelligence, kindness and professionalism. He has touched many lives in his journey of service to his colleagues, clients and his community. He will be sorely missed. We send our deepest sympathies and condolences to his family, friends and colleagues around the world. - DLA Piper
