OAKLEY--Richard P., of Pleasantville, NY died on February 21st at the age of 92. He is survived by his devoted wife, Stella, with whom he had six daughters. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graduate of New York University, he began a 60 year career as an investment banker in New York City where he became a partner in Lehman Brothers and then Goldman Sachs. From 1973 to 1977, he was Chairman of the Board of Siff, Oakley and Marks also in NYC. Throughout his life, Richard was an active community volunteer. He was a trustee of Northern Westchester Hospital Center and Chairman of the Mt. Pleasant Zoning Board and Industrial Development Agency. He was a member of the Rotary Club. Richard touched many lives, and they were all the better for his intelligence, compassion and wit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Pleasantville Rotary Scholarship Fund.
