REES--Dr. Thomas D. The faculty and staff of the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery mourn the passing of their esteemed colleague, Dr. Thomas D. Rees. A longtime member of the Institute faculty, he was a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the NYU School of Medicine. He mentored many plastic surgery residents and fellows and was beloved by all. His writings and courses established aesthetic surgery as a vital component of plastic surgery. He was also distinguished for his international health initiatives. We extend our condolences to his daughter Liz and son Tom. Eduardo D. Rodriguez, MD, DDS. Director, Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery; Joseph G. McCarthy, MD Director Emeritus, Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery
