KELTY--William H., 93, of Chappaqua, NY died March 28, 2014. Graduated 1940, University of Minnesota, Writer-editor editorial pages, Minneapolis newspapers, radio broadcaster and magazine article writer. During World War II he was with The Office of War Information, NBC and Newsweek. In 1945 joined Reader's Digest International Editions, becoming a vice president of the company. In 1971 he became consultant to British and American publishers and a director of Hammond Inc. His daughter, Lee Hannah, died 1992, his wife of 58 years, Madoline, in 2002. He is survived by his son Douglas and daughter-in-law Joann of Millstone Township, NJ. Memorials to University of Minnesota, P.O. Box 70870, St. Paul, MN 55179-3854, marked College of Liberal Arts- William Kelty Scholarship.
