KARDARAS--William P. Prominent Wall Street Attorney Dies at Age 83. Mr. Kardaras grew up in New Haven, CT and graduated from the University of Connecticut and New York Law School. While completing his education, Mr. Kardaras worked full time as an insurance investigator on the New York waterfront. He joined the maritime law firm of Bigham Englar Jones & Houston and quickly rose to senior partner and member of the executive committee of the firm. Mr. Kardaras left to form his own law firm with offices on Wall Street and in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington D.C. He litigated multidistrict, multinational, and multimillion dollar matters. Mr. Kardaras traveled the world in defense of his clients and loved to visit his beloved relatives in Greece. Before studying law, Mr. Kardaras joined the Air Force and was stationed in Los Alamos, New Mexico and London, England where he armed tactical nuclear weapons. He was a Renaissance Man with an amazing intellect, strong ethics and a love of teaching. His interests included crossword puzzles, Greek dancing, sailing, skiing, violin playing, billiards and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Giants. Mr. Kardaras was a loving and caring husband for fifty-seven years to his wife, Jean; a loving father to his two sons, Peter and Constantine; and a proud grandfather of his seven grandchildren, Kristen, Julian, Kyra, Christopher, Rebekah, Susanne and Luke. A wake will be held on July 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Celentano Funeral Home in New Haven, Connecticut. A funeral service will be held at Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Orange, Connecticut at 11:00 am on July 24th. A celebration of his life will be held on August 3rd in Rye, New York.
