was West Groton volunteer firefighter; Vet

TOWNSEND AND GROTON -- Jerome Rizzo passed away January 21, 2014. He is the father of Charles of Townsend, and Joseph and his wife, Mary of Milton, Mass. Jerome was born and raised in West Groton.

He is predeceased by his wife, Anne (Digiacomo), his parents, Joseph and Carmella (Licata) along with his sisters, Frances and Julia, and brother, Charles.

Jerome will be greatly missed by Charles, Joe and Mary and his special nieces, Joanne and Camie, along with many other loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

He was a wonderful husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Jerome, a WWII Veteran, retired from Hollingsworth & Vose after 50 years. He was also a proud Retired Volunteer Firefighter for the West Groton Fire Department.

Romie was an avid golfer and fisherman, a member of the VFW and a regular visitor to the Pepperell Senior Center. He was also a founding member of the Squannacook Sportsman Club in West Groton.

Arrangements are with the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton, MA with visiting hours on Friday, Jan. 24th from 4 - 8 pm.
