HEBRON: A funeral service for Anthony C. "Tony" May, age 67, of Hebron, will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Indiana with Military Honors.

Tony passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 in Hebron. He was born August 18, 1945 in Rising Sun, Indiana to the late Charles and Mildred Jeannette (Byram) May.

Tony was a 1963 graduate of Lakewood High School. Following graduation, he worked at the Hebron IGA and Structurlite in Hebron. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965-69 as a Crew Chief and in the Air Force Reserves from 1981-2005 as a Chief Flight Engineer. He had been employed at the Newark-Heath Air Force Base and retired from March Air Force Base in California.

He is survived by his step-mother, Wanda May of Hebron; the mother of his children, Diane V. Flores; three children, Pamela M. (Chris) Ward of Tennessee, Charles R. May of Hebron and Anthony C. II (Brenda) May, of California; six grandchildren, Marisa, Jacob, Dillon, Austin, Jessica and Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Anthony; a sister, Sharon Dupler of Hebron; and two brothers, Bill (Deb) May of Thornville and Jack (Lori) May of Newark; close friends, Mickey Liggett of Indiana and Vic Hoy of Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to his uncle and aunt, Bill and Sue May of Millersport, for their support and care.

Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath.
