HURON: Barbara B. Dreffer of Huron, died unexpectedly at home on March 28, 2013, with her husband Stephan, by her side.
She was born April 23, 1943 in Newark, OH.
Barbara graduated from The Ohio State University in 1966, with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Her primary occupation was a teacher, although later she worked in the mortgage industry.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Newark, OH as well as the OSU Alumni Association.
Barbara and her husband celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on March 18, by enjoying a Mexican dinner - one of their favorites. She enjoyed interior decorating and entertaining her many friends in her home. She loved watching all sports, particularly Ohio State football and basketball. Barbara was very proud of her son Doug's successful career in medicine, and deeply loved her daughter-in-law, Lisa and their children Kyla and Grant.
She is survived by her husband, Stephan, of Huron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eva Mae Bazler, both of Hebron, OH.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron where a service will be held Thursday, April 3, at 11 a.m. with her family members officiating. Burial will follow.
