James Robert "Mac" McOsker

NEWARK: A Funeral Mass for James Robert "Mac" McOsker, 88, of Newark, will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 31, 2014 with Msgr. Paul Enke celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Friends and family may call at the church for one hour prior to the Mass on Thursday.

Mr. McOsker, an altar server as a young boy, was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church. He died at the Arlington Care Center on July 27, 2014. He was born in Weston, West Virginia on April 18, 1926 to the late Cash and Madeleine (Riehl) McOsker.

Mac was a United States Navy WWII Veteran and was retired from Westinghouse where he worked for many years as a Quality Control Inspector. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

Mac is survived by his brother, John McOsker of Reynoldsburg; his sister, Carol Cobun of Newark; nephew, Tom Gray; and his many longtime neighbors on Sherwood Downs.

In addition to his parents, Mac was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jean Gray.
