Theodore John Rogers
HEATH: A private family gathering for Theodore John Rogers, 84, of Heath, will be held at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
Ted passed away August 22, 2014, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. He was born March 8, 1930, in Percy, New Hampshire, to the late Theodore Arnold and Winifred (Fluery) Rogers.
Ted was a Navy and Air Force Veteran. He retired after 35 years of devoted service from the Newark Air force Station as an Aerospace Metrology Technician. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He loved playing pinochle with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid reader and enjoyed history.
He is survived by his wife, Diane B. (Chausse) Rogers, whom he married on September 15, 1951; children, Theodore A. (Lynnette) Rogers of Chesterhill, OH, Lorene (Carleton) VanBuskirk of Norman OK, Barbara (Dwight) Culbertson of Burlington, KY, William (Kathleen) Rogers of Westerville, OH, Donald (Karen) Rogers of Grove City, OH, Terry (Doug) Kirk of Pataskala, OH, Michele Welsh of Circleville, OH, and Melody (Randy) Barry of Winter Haven, FL; brothers, Frank (Carole) Rogers of Bradenton, FL and Ronald (Linda) Clark of New Hampshire; brother-in-law, Glen Parks of Leesburg, FL; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lorene Parks, Barbara Shook and Dorthea Rogers, and son-in-law, Douglas Welsh.
