Timmis E. "Tim" Stevens

NEWARK: A memorial service for Timmis E. "Tim" Stevens will be held at 6pm, Monday, June 16, 2014, at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st Street, Newark with Pastor Sam Harnish presiding. The family will receive friends and acquaintances beginning at 4pm, until time of service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Stevens, age 61, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Arlington Care Center following a prolonged battle with cancer. He was born September 8, 1952 in Newark, Ohio the son of Eugene K. and Mary A. (Cotterman) Stevens. He was a 1971 graduate of Lakewood High School and attended The Ohio State University. Tim served with the U.S. Air Force in Alaska during the Vietnam War. He was an electrician with the former Rockwell Int'l and member of the IBEW. He was a former member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and attended Christ United Methodist Church. He was a member of Death Wind Black Powder Club and AA.

Tim is survived by his wife Debra L. Stevens; sons Spencer Stevens of Newark and Reid Stevens currently serving with the U.S. Army in Cuba; sister Lori (Kris Keckley) Bowling of Heath, as well as three nieces, Kate Gromacki, Jessica (Zack) Goff and Sara Bowling. Tim's parents preceded him in death.
