William B. "Bill" Pratt

HEATH: A memorial service celebrating the life of William B. "Bill" Pratt, age 90, of Heath, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with The Reverend Dr. and Mrs. Herbert M. Goetz, Jr., USN, Ret. and The Reverend Dr. Winfield Strout officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow at Alexandria-Maple Grove Cemetery at 12 Noon. Military honors will be provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Mr. Pratt passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Inn at Chapel Grove. He was born July 7, 1923 in Braintree, MA to the late Francis and Lillian (Dyer) Pratt.

Bill was a very skilled craftsman who enjoyed creating miniature furniture and dollhouses and a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts. He was a machinist at Owens-Corning and a retired member of the International Association of Machinists. As a World War II veteran Bill proudly represented his country by serving in the United States Navy. He was a member of F. & A. M. Newark Lodge #97 and Center Star Lodge #11 and a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Thornville.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lou (Herm) Emblen-Pratt; a daughter, Patty A. (fiancé, Eric Baker) Sebree of Columbus; a son, Timothy Pratt; stepson, Chuck (Joanne) Emblen of Mount Vernon; two stepdaughters, Ina Rae (Jesse) Kean and Carolyn (Robert) Rivercomb both of Alexandria; a brother, Bud (Peg) Roberts; a sister, Mabel Bean; sister in law, Janet Pratt all of Massachuesetts; numerous grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Mildred (Hammond) Pratt; two brothers, Myron Pratt and Ralph Pratt.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath. Masonic Services will be held at 6:45 p.m.
