PORTLAND, Ore. — David W. Seals passed away peacefully February 13, 2013, in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Linda, and sister-in-law, Carolyn, by his side, after a three-year battle with multiple health issues.
David was born March 11, 1943, in Longview, to Wilma and W. Curley Seals. He grew up in Longview and graduated from Longview High School in 1961.
In 1966, David earned his pilot's license and met Linda at
Texas A&M University, and he soon began his life as a loving husband and a pilot. His flying career took him to Vietnam (U.S.M.C.), and travels in his corporate and medevac career for 45 years. Ironically, he hated being away from home and his family. He liked everyone he met, and always had a story to share.
David is survived by his wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Carolyn; son, Brian; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Clark; and grandsons, Ryan, Logan and Aden.
He also leaves his sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Shane McLane of Longview; his aunt, Dorothy Weakley; and cousins, Shirley Haywood and Barry Walker, all of Longview; plus several other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, W. Curley Seals; mother and stepfather, Willam and B.L. Adcock; and grandparents, Lee and Fannie walker.
A celebration of David's life will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Milwaukie Lutheran Church in Milwaukie, Oregon.
Memorials to the church in his name would be appreciated.
