Ardath Adale (Adams) Moore slipped peacefully into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. Ardath was born on Jan 10, 1924, in Ohio. Her love of animals led her to a B.S. degree in animal husbandry from Ohio State University. Ardath and her husband Kenneth moved from Ohio to Daytona Beach in 1971. At that time they were caring for an afflicted lady, Bobbi Aleshire and her father who found the very cold winters too hard on them. After Mr. Aleshire and Bobbi passed away, Ardath went back to school and got an A.S. degree in nursing and as a registered nurse, she worked for several doctors in the area. She and Kenneth provided a Christian Free Clinic for more than 10 years, helping indigent people with medical needs. Her caring for others began early in her life as she took in many needy students when they were in college. Ardath and Kenneth were married on Aug. 16, 1942 and this August anniversary would have been their 72nd. Ardath served First Baptist Church as Baptistry Chairman for more than 20 years and is now a charter member of Providence Church in Ormond Beach. She is survived by her husband Dr. Kenneth Moore. Her funeral will be at Providence Church conducted by Pastor Tim Mann on Monday, August 11th at 11:00 a.m. Friends may pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Memorial donations may be made to Providence Church.
