Memorial service for Curtis B. Roane, 87, Ormond Beach, will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11:00 am at St Brendan's Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach with Father James Queen officiating. Mr. Roane was born in Savannah, Georgia and move to this area in the 1950's from Lake City, Florida. He received his bachelor degree from University of Georgia in engineering and worked and retired from Florida Power and Light. He was an Air Force veteran on World War II having been stationed in China. He was a member of the Basilica of St. Paul where he served on the Parish Council Finance Committee and St. Brendan's Catholic Church. Mr. Roane actively ministered to the sick at Halifax Hospital with St. Paul's and Ormond Memorial Hospital with St. Brendan's. In lieu of other remembrances the family requests donations be made to St. Brendan's Catholic Church or Grace Lutheran Church, 338 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond Beach. Survivors include his wife Marie; a brother, Nathan Roane, Minnesota; three step sons, Gene Enyart, Joseph Enyart and James Enyart; sister-in-law, Jean Shaw and her husband Rick; and a niece Margaret Ann.
