Charles Arthur Lundell, III of DeLand, FL passed away on April 15, 2014. He was born on June 30, 1965 in Hartford, CT to Patricia Lundell of Rocky Hill, CT and Charles Lundell, Jr of DeLand, FL. Charlie graduated from Rocky Hill High School in 1983 and received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Stetson University in 1987. He served on the Rocky Hill, CT Board of Education. Charlie honorably served his country as a Marine, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal. He was also activated in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom. He wrote a book called "An American Instruction Book" which was previously sold at Disney, another one of his passions. Charlie was a beloved math teacher for 20 years at Pine Ridge High School. Frequently tutoring students and being highly sought after each semester. He is famous for his Math Rap, as seen on YouTube and even more so for helping thousands of students become college ready in math. He also wrote a word game Words of Wisdom that was published in local papers. An avid Red Sox fan his entire family knows that he will most certainly be guiding the Red Sox into many more World Series Championships from heaven. Charlie is survived by his wife Melissa Lundell of DeLand, FL, and their twins, Luke and Gianna due in June; his kids Karen and Charles (Chase) Lundell of Deltona, FL; his parents previously mentioned above, and his sister, Eileen Zacco (Lundell) of Medford, MA. A memorial service will be held at Pine Ridge High School, Deltona, FL on Saturday April 19, 2014 at 2pm. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made out to: Melissa Lundell c/o Surety Bank, 990 N. Woodland Blvd, DeLand, FL 32720
