A Graveside service for Charles Frank Denton, who went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 29, 2014, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at Shady Rest Cemetery, Daytona Ave., Holly Hill. He was born June 12, 1928 to parents, Charlie and Ruby Denton in Fairfield, Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Christine; sons, Donnie Lynn, Bobbie Ainsworth, Douglas Frank, Mark Stephen; grandchildren, Kimi, Tina, Amber, Nicole, Jessica, Matt, Maggie, Lindsey, Hannah; great grandchildren, Mason, Kaylee, Nicholas, Maleah, Gabe, Gracie, Luke and Cameron. An Air Force veteran of World War II, Charles graduated from St Petersburg Culinary School in 1943 and worked as a hospital engineer at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. For many years, he enjoyed spending time at the family's mountain home in Andrews, NC. Charles will be greatly missed by family and friends and his cooking expertise.
