David G. Towers, 74, of Ormond Beach passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Born in Peekskill, NY on January 16th, 1938 and passed on December 25th, 2012. He graduated from the Ohio State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1962. He began his working career as a field engineer for General Electric and retired in January of 2000 as a Program Manager in Defense Systems from Lockheed Martin. He enjoyed spending time with his family and creating custom woodwork projects for family and friends. He faithfully served his church and community. David is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Ethel Towers, and his sisters, Elizabeth Borella and Helen Delemater. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maryanne Baskin Towers; his daughters, Rebecca Towers Hobbs and Linda Welsh Towers; his son-in-law, Stephen B. Hobbs; and grandsons, Frank and David Hobbs. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Tomoka United Methodist Church.
