Donald R. Barley, 83 of Orange City went home to be with the Lord October 15, 2012. He was born on July 17, 1929 in New Windsor, NY to the late Robert J. and Laura Evelyn (Frey) Barley. He was a retired A/C and Heating mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. Donald served in the U.S. Navy from 1947-1953. He will forever be remembered by his devoted wife, Dorla, children and spouses, Robert Wayne Doss (Diane), Donna Blakley, and Dawn Krider (Jay); two cherished grandchildren Jeffery Doss (Natalie) and Robyn Blakley; two great grandchildren Kyle and Logan Doss, and his best friend Herman Evans as well as countless other family and friends who were blessed to know him. Donald was also predeceased by his sister, Dolores Burns. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Lankford Funeral Home with Chaplain Chip Thompson.
