Daniel J. Coffee, 87, of Ormond Beach, passed away March 18, 2014. A native of Wheeling, W.VA, he and his wife moved to this area in 1983 from Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Coffee was a graduate of Wheeling High School, West Virginia University, class of 1951 and received his master's degree from the University of Iowa in 1956. He was a true patriot - serving as Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and serving as Captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Before moving to Florida, Daniel retired as public relations manager for Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania. He had a long and interesting career and was accomplished at many hobbies. Daniel was the sort of man that people like to talk to and he loved sharing with his friends. In lieu of other remembrances donations may be made in Daniel's memory to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Counties. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel J. Coffee and Leota Murrin Coffee and three sisters Barbara Kathleen and Nancy. Survivors include his devoted wife of 62 years, Jacqueline Mihaly Coffee.
