Frank B. Rhodes of Palm Coast, FL died Sunday, December 2, 2012. He was 84. Born in Atlanta, GA, January 29, 1928, he was the son of the late Frank Peleg and Elizabeth Holsten Rhodes. After graduating from the Baldwin School in Pittsburgh, PA in 1946 he joined the Army serving in the Occupation Forces in Japan 1946-47. Following his discharge from active duty, he attended the Hill School in Pottstown, PA and Princeton University in 1953 with a degree in Political History. He was captain of the Princeton Golf Team in his senior year and won the Metropolitan Intercollege Golf Tourney in 1952. He joined the Scott Paper Co. as a salesman in the New York City Market. In 1956, he joined Grocery Store Products in West Chester, PA as Director of Marketing. In 1965, he went with R.L. Fitzwater & Son, a Philadelphia food brokerage as Executive Vice President. In 1973, he bought Choptank Distributing in Easton, MD, a distributor of beer, wine and soft drinks. In 1995 he sold the business and retired. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Merion Golf Club, Ardmore, PA, Talbot Country Club of Easton and San Gaspar Golf Club of Cuernavaca, Mexico. He currently was a member of the Hammock Dunes Club in Palm Coast. Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sandra Sharp Rhodes; a son Frank B. Rhodes Jr., Chestertown, MD; stepchildren, Wendy Carver of Wellesley, MA, Kerry Corvino, Vero Beach, FL, Stacey Britt, Sag Harbor, NY, and Arthur E. French III, Red Lodge, MT and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will be at the Hammock Dunes Club at a date and time to be announced. Interment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, RI. The family suggests memorial contributions to the .
