Irvin Huff was born March 23, 1929 in Orange City to the late Charlie and Mellenee Huff. After high school, he graduated from FAMU, Tallahassee, completing with a BS degree. He served in the United States Army. While at Ft. Benning, GA, he met and married Ruth in 1953. He served as a Deacon at Mt. Barrien, where he served in many capacities from childhood until his health began to fail. He departed this life on April 24, 2014 in Tampa. He reunites on the other side his wife Ruth and son Irvin, Jr. (Pete). Two sisters: Betty (Fred) Johnson and Mary Lee (Rambo) Gaines. He leaves to cherish his memories: two faithful and loving daughters: Delphenia Bartee and Emma (William) Williams; one devoted daughter-in-law: Dianne Huff, Orange City; ten grandchildren: Traylina (Arthur) Akines, Orange City; Lavisca (Ricardo) Whitted, Orlando; Felicia Williams, Orange City; Delvesta (Tyrone) Mills, Daytona Beach; Tolicia Williams, Deltona; Wilbert Bartee Jr., Winter Park; Shundel Little, Carlos Huff and Sharonda Huff, Orange City and Serena Huff, Daytona Beach; 17 Great-grand-children, Two sisters: Anna Mae Jones, Osteen, FL and Agnes (Gordon) Phillipe, Orlando, FL; two brothers: Herbert (Tommie) Huff, Sumter, SC and Sherman (Norma) Tillman, Lake Helen. His life will be celebrated 3pm Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Mt. Barrien Primitive Baptist Church, 289 E. Blue Springs, Orange City, Pastor Richard Jones, officiating. Visitation hours will be Friday from 6pm to 7pm at Cusack Mortuary. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
