Colonel J Frank Moore, 81, of Ormond Beach passed away August 7, 2014 at his home. He was born September 11, 1932 in Springfield, Missouri. The son of J. Ralph and Goldie (Rice) Moore. Surviving is his wife Dottie of 43 years. Three children, Pam Hague (Bill), Patty Wheat (Mark), Penny Houle (Rich). Nine grandchildren, Windy (Hague) Kerr, Jennifer (Hague) Huffman, Cody Hague, Shay (Wheat) Bird, Patrick Wheat, Ryan Houle, and Brooke Houle. Plus 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, two grandsons preceded him in death, Will Hague and Timothy Wheat and a sister Jean Marie (Moore) Moxey. J Frank served in the U.S. Air Force for 33 years including base commander at Westover Air Force base in Chicopee, Mass. from 1976 1982. He was loved and respected, tender with the young and compassionate with the aged. He was always helping others to find a good place in life. He will be missed by all the lives he touched. Funeral arrangements have been made for Monday, August 11, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home Ormond Beach. Visitation is at 10:00AM and services at 11:00AM with Pastors Ronald Todd and Ken Gosney officiating. Full military rights will be observed and interment at Volusia Memorial Park.
