James Duane Brown, Jr., 59, of DeLand passed away July 29, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 11, 1953 and moved to DeLand in 1971 from Dayton, Ohio. James was a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and worked as a government mediator. He enjoyed antique cars, fishing, gardening woodworking and being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son Jason Brown of Orange City; daughter Kimberly Arcaro of Deltona; sisters Carla Richmond of Orange City
and Dianna Harris of Fort Lauderdale and grandchildren Jaelyn Brown, Frank Brown and Dean Brown. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 2pm at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Chaplain Art Bakewell officiating.
