Jack K. Degler, 74, of Ormond Beach, FL, died on May 14, 2014. He is survived by his wife Susan B. Degler; daughters: Nicole Duquet and Melissa McCauley; son, Michael McCauley; and grandchildren: Gregory Duquet, Jakeb Duquet and Chloe McCauley. Jack was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 12, 1939 , then lived in Miami, FL, graduating from Coral Gables High School, where he was a of the Ching Tang Fraternity Brother. Jack also served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a fire fighter for the City of Miami Fire Department, retiring after 30 years service as Fire Captain in 1991. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach, FL for a memorial service on Saturday, June 7 at 2:00 PM to celebrate Jack's Life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project @ www.wounded warriorproject .org.
