John G. Crines, 86, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away July 31, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 10 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. All arrangements are under the direct supervision of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. John was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. He attended John Bartrum H.S. and earned his B.A. from St. Joseph's University Philadelphia. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. On November 4, 1950 John married his bride of 60 years Marie T. Crines; together they had three beautiful children. He was employed for the US Steel Supply Company until his retirement in 1983. In 1986 John and Marie relocated to Palm Coast, Florida. John was an active member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, the Past president of both the Irish Social club and Lions club. He also won the Melvin Jones Fellow award. John will be remembered for his love of sports and entertaining his friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 60 years Marie in 2010, his son John Christopher and siblings Catherine, Isabelle, Ellen and James. He is survived by his son Edward Crines; daughter Donna Hastie and her husband Alex; brother David and his wife Dolly Crines, all of Pennsylvania, and sister Margaret Thompson of Palm Coast. John was also the loving grandfather to his six grandchildren John Crines, Jennifer Crines, Ellen Crines, Jessica Hastie, Hannah Hastie, Edward Crines; and five great-grandchildren Mikayla, Christopher, Aubrey, Lillianna and Mya.
