John Haines Gallion, III, 56, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Bishop's Glen. He was born, November 13, 1956 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. John attended the University of Michigan and served in the United States Marine Corps, earning the Meritorious Mast. John was an Architectural Designer and worked for John's Appliance and previously for Kitchen Gallery. He was an exceptional gardener and an avid reader. He enjoyed competing with his mom to be the first to finish the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle and always completed his puzzle in ink! He enjoyed camping and spending time with his brother and best friend, Dan. The highlight and love of John's life, was his son JJ. He was proud to be his father. Survivors include his son, John Haines Gallion, IV; "JJ"; parents, John Haines and Anne Rutter Gallion; brother, Daniel Scott Gallion; and sister Susan Gallion Begin. A Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday, February 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Daytona Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129 or Bishops Glen 900 LPGA Blvd., Holly Hill, Florida 32117.
