Joseph Anthony Curatolo of Port Orange, Florida passed away March 19, 2014. He was born in Washington D.C. to Barbara Rose Haas and Anthony Curatolo. He was a police officer for 26 years beginning his career at the Daytona Beach Police Department. He was known as "Duck Pond Joe" and retired from the South Daytona Police Department in 2005 as Sgt. Joseph. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Terri Curatolo and his children Heather Whetstone (the late Mason), Kim C. Burgess (Greg), Somer Lustik (Lucas). He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Layne, Kalei, DJ, Emma, Zoe, Aubrey, Savannah and Lexie. He is also survived by his close friends Becky and Carl Schultz and Frank and Kathy Freeland. Services will be held Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00am at Tomoka Christian Church in Ormond Beach.
