Kenneth Paul Coleman, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2014. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home, 3571 South Ridgewood Avenue, Port Orange, FL. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Cardwell Baggett and Summers followed by interment at Daytona Memorial Park. Those left to cherish Kenneth's memory are his wife, Maria DuVal Coleman; sons Greg (Mona) Coleman, Randy Coleman; step children Tina Maria (Greg) McClasy, Sonya (Ed) Olson, Jackie (Chauz) Boornazian; brother James Coleman; and sister Marie Sap; grandchildren, Jarrett (Christine) Coleman, Amber (James) Laws; step-grandchildren, Melissa Caputi, Nicole (Thomas) Day; and four great grandchildren. Born December 4, 1931 in Nashville, TN, Kenneth served 4 years in the United States Navy and two years in the United States Naval Reserve and was also a member of the Retired Veterans Association. "K.P." continued his long career as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW Local 756. In the early days he enjoyed working with the electrical apprenticeship program and teach knot tying and rigging. Kenneth was a long time member of the Halifax River Yacht Club and loved spending time on their boat "KP Duty". As well as boating, he had a passion for oil painting and would spend his quite time painting in his "man cave". Above all, he was a loving and selfless man who loved his family and would go out of his way to help others.
