Lorraine Ann LePage Stella, 71, of Port Orange, Florida is now in the loving arms of her Lord. She passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston, Massachusetts to Armand and Harriett Mulholland LePage, she grew up in the Boston area and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School. Later she moved to the Daytona Beach, Florida area, earned an Associate in Science degree in Nursing from Daytona State College, and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.). She spent the next almost 40 years as a compassionate and gifted caregiver at Halifax Health Medical Center and most recently at Coronado Surgical Associates with Dr. Frank Toub in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Ms. Stella was also active with the Susan Komen Cancer organization, participating in many walks to raise awareness for breast cancer. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Smyrna Beach often. She leaves a legacy of her loving family, many dear friends and the gratitude of thousands of patients she selflessly cared for over the years. She had two loving children: her daughter, Deborah Ann Stella Bennett of Edgewater, Florida who predeceased her in 2012 and her devoted son, David Joseph Stella of Orlando, Florida. Deborah had two children, Marlene Nicole Bennett and Matthew David Bennett, both of Edgewater. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Catherine Houston Stella and granddaughters, Caroline Marie Stella and Emily Anne Stella; her sister, Dorothy LePage O'Connell and husband Andrew O'Connell of Norwood, Massachusetts; niece, Jill O'Connell DeCarteret and husband Ken DeCarteret and grandnephew, Ty DeCarteret, all of Norwood.
