Louis E. Lee of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away February 4, 2014 after a short illness, at the age of 85. He was born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland on February 2, 1929. Louis was a decorated veteran having served during World War II in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard of Washington, D.C. He was a POW in the pacific during World War II. Louis enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins football team, bowling, working in his yard, spending time with his family, and will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gloria Lee, a niece Tina Bourland, and a nephew Allen Burgess. Louis was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Burgess and his brother, Benjamin Lee, Jr. He was cremated and will be buried at sea with honors by the U.S. Coast Guard with taps.
