Mildred Kressman Edwards, 86, of Port Orange, FL passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2012 with family by her side. Mildred is survived by her husband Russel E. Edwards; and four children: two sons, Bill Edwards (Wife Nancy) and Steve Edwards (Wife Cynthia); two daughters, Linda Leverett (Husband John) and Barbara Green (Husband Richard). Mildred also has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mildred graduated from Mainland High School in 1943. She worked for the telephone company for forty years. Mildred was involved in several organizations including Garden Club Oleander, Girl Scout Leader, Pink Lady at Halifax Hospital, Telephone Pioneer, VFW Auxiliary, Gator camping club, and Adventures Group Two camping club. Mildred has traveled to 48 states, the Blue Grass Festival, Dollywood, and loved the Appalachian Mountains. Mildred Kressman Edwards will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Innovative Hospice Care Vitas Volusia.
