Phillip Franklin Niles, 64, of Daytona Beach, passed away at Halifax Hospital, December 18, 2013 after an accident. Born April 4th 1949 in Miami, Florida, he was the son of the late Sudie & Peter Lloyd Niles. Loving father and loyal friend, Phillip was well known for his charismatic nature and adventurous spirit. He was beloved in the community. Phillip graduated from Seabreeze High School. He received his Bachelors' from the University of Florida, and he was proud to be a Florida Gator! Phillip was a real estate broker and business owner in Daytona Beach. He is survived by his children: Harmony Niles and her daughter Journey (San Francisco), Burgundy Niles (Tallahassee), and Phillip Niles Jr. (Daytona Beach); and his siblings: Peter Niles (Costa Rica), Suzanne Slaughter (Ocala), Patricia Robertson (Daytona Beach), and Sudie Niles (Daytona Beach). A gathering of remembrance will be held today (Sat., Dec. 21) at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes (1014 N. Halifax Ave, Daytona Beach) followed by a celebration of life (address to be given).
