Richard Joseph Shinn passed away in the comforting care of the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House staff on Monday, May 5th at age 82. Dick was born in Philadelphia on December 27, 1931 and graduated from Haverford High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Ford Aerospace. He was a training specialist in Nigeria, where the only access was by helicopter. "Mr. Clean" moved to the Hammock, FL area where he met and married Rita in 1997. They cruised in parades and spent weekends at car shows with his yellow M.G. He was a dedicated friend of Bill's for 33 years. Dick is survived by his wife, Rita, his daughter, Maria Bouck (Mike), Ohio, son, Richard, California, two sisters, Mary Lu Marchesano, PA and Kathleen Montello (Joe), FL, five grandchildren, Cory, Dani, Kelsey, Erika and Nathan and one greatgrandson, Julian and a loving circle of family and friends. A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, from 1 to 3 at Terranova's, 208 N. State St., (U.S. 1) Bunnell, FL. Guidance by National Cremation Society. Cremains will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
