Robert M. Garriques, age 82, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away July 18, 2014 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia /Flagler's Edgewater Care Center. Born and raised in the Baltimore, Maryland area, Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict then graduated from Towson State University. He started a staff leasing company in the 90's but spent most of his career in insurance. Bob was active in the American Legion, Elks, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, and the Episco
pal Church, and belonged to Smyrna Yacht Club in New Smyrna Beach, where he and his wife have lived for 35 years. Survivors include his wife, Pegge; seven children; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister; and a twin brother. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 25 at St. Peter the Fisherman Episcopal Church, New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Historic Canal Street, c/o CM Lybrand and Company, 728 W.
