of his beloved son Fred "Fritz" Colbert on 7 Dec. 1996. Freddie was born in Gainesville, FL on 18 July 1935 and was a lifelong resident of Daytona Beach. He was the son of the late Freddie Robinson of Bethlehem, PA and the late Eunice Pettway of Daytona Beach, FL. Freddie was employed by Angel and Phelps Candy Store in downtown Daytona Beach, General Electric, Lloyds Electric and the School Board of Volusia County. Freddie graduated from Campbell Senior High School in 1953, and after honorably serving 3-years in the U.S. Army in Germany, he married the former Marian L. Davis of Ormond Beach, FL. They raised five children together: the late Antionette Rayna Davis, the late Fred "Fritz" Colbert, Joel Bernard Colbert of Hampton, VA, LaVoncis Almeta Armstrong (Louis) of Riverdale, GA, and U.S. Navy Commander Theron Charles Colbert (Ibe) of St Johns, FL. He loved and cherished his five grandchildren, Christina M. Colbert, Marcus L. Anderson, Joi Armstrong, and Theron Carlos and Ricardo Antione Colbert. Freddie later married Dorothy Colbert and proudly enjoyed his stepson Reverend Mark Mayhew (Reneé) of Daytona Beach; two stepdaughters Lisa and Sabrena Brown of Atlanta, GA; and two step grandchildren James Adams and Jaron Brown of Atlanta, GA. Freddie liked fishing, crabbing, listening to classic R&B and jazz music, watching sporting events, and spending time with family and friends. Freddie especially delighted in helping family and friends complete electrical home repair projects. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and dearest friends. Visitation and viewing will be today (Thursday, December 13, 2012) at Herbert Thompson Funeral Home from 4:30 until 7 pm. The funeral service will be Friday, December 14, 2012 at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church at 1 pm, with Rev. George Clark giving the eulogy. Interment will follow at Sunset Park Cemetery.
