William D. "Hosea" Rodgers, Jr., 83, of DeLand, passed away July 17th at Ridgecrest Nursing and Rehab Center in DeLand. He was born on July 22, 1930 in McColl, South Carolina and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a wildlife artist. Hosea was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DeLand, the McColl Masonic Lodge and the Woodman of the World. He enjoyed bowling and fishing and was an avid Republican. Hosea loved cooking and music. He is survived by his wife of
59 years, Shirley; sisters Geraldine Scism and husband John of Bennettsville, SC, Ila B Hubbard and husband Charles of McColl, SC and Marie Baucom of McColl, SC.
