William Moran, 88, Port Orange, FL died April 11, 2014. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama and came to this are in 2007 from Syracuse, NY. He served our nation in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a retired machinist having served 47 years with General Motors. He and his partner Donna Schaffner were known for their dancing throughout the area and spent a lot of time at Ponce Inlet where his remains will be set free at sea. Their second home was Rossi's Restaurant which provided nourishment and friendship. Bill leaves to cherish his memory his children Donna Simpson, New London, CT, William J Moran of Concord, MA, three grandchildren and life partner Donna Schaffner of Port Orange. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Dorothy and daughter Deb Kuhn of Seattle, WA. His children send their gratitude to Dr Alexander and Nurse Aimee of Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia for support and commitment during their Dad's long journey.
