Bobby Junior Stockstill
Mr. Bobby Junior Stockstill, age 82, Nixa, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014. He was born August 21, 1931 in Oto, Missouri, to Lyle Orbin and Lorene (Noe) Stockstill. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Wilson on January 7, 1956 at Crane.
Junior was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War.
For many years, Junior was a member and served as deacon at the Jamesville Missionary Baptist Church and later at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, in Highlandville, Missouri. As well as being a farmer, he worked and retired from Foremost Dairy after 40 years of service and then on to the Nixa School System, where he was custodian for 13 years and retired again. For several years he enjoyed coaching the Crossroads Nazarene church baseball team. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and any kind of ball games.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alvin. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; a son, Scott Stockstill and a daughter, Donna Cantrell, all of Nixa; a sister JoAnn Lee and husband, Robert, Clever; two grandchildren, Chad Cypret and Brandon Cantrell; four great grandchildren, Whitney, Brayden, Dakota, and Jayden; a sister-in-law, Edna Stockstill, Crane; three nephews, David Stockstill, John Stockstill, and Brent Lee; other relatives and friends.
There will be a visitation 5-7 P.M., Friday, February 14, 2014 at Meadors Funeral home, Clever, Missouri. The funeral will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 15th, also at the funeral home.
Burial, with military honors, will be in Wright Cemetery, south of Clever.
