C. Jerald Carr

C. Jerald Carr, 80, Springfield, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, in the Mount Vernon Veterans Home.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and worked for Hutchens Industries for 32 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Jerald is survived by his wife, Berniece, of Springfield; two daughters, Debra Burns, and her husband, Gary, Rogersville, and Suzanne Montgomery, and her husband, Jerry, Republic; four grandchildren, Sarah Edmonds, and her husband, Mike, Amanda Myers, Jared Montgomery, and Ryan Montgomery; three great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Taylor and Dylan; a sister, Sherry Haney, and her husband, Bob, Springfield; two brothers-in-law, Bill Patton, Springfield, and Bob Turner, Fayetteville, AR; several nieces and nephews; two aunts, Pansy Turner and Sonya Adkins, Lebanon.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2013, in Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, with Ronny Wade officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, near Long Lane, Missouri. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

The Carr Family wishes to pay a special "Thank You" to the wonderful caregivers, Hospice Compassus, and the MO Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon for their loving and tender care during Jerald's illness.
