Harold Rapp

Harold Isacc Rapp went home to his Lord and Savior on May 9, 2014. Harold was born of Maud and Stephen "Tebe" Rapp on August 6, 1915, he was the second oldest of fourteen children.

Harold was drafted for the U.S Army in 1942 where he served in the infantry in World War II until 1945. After his time in the Army, Harold returned to Springfield and began working with City Utilities in 1946. He married his first wife, Edith in 1947, and they had three children; Winona, Hughy, and Douglas. When Edith passed away, Harold raised the children by himself for several years. In 1965 he married Augha and they had their first son, David in 1969. He retired from City Utilities in 1980. Harold will be remembered for his love of coon hunting, baseball, working on the farm, and most of all, his story telling. He often read his bible and was very proud of his family.

Harold is survived by his siblings; Linn, Mae, Eva, Lowell, Jack, Mary Lou, Joe, Charlotte, Janice, and Billy. His children: Winona, Hughy, Doug, and David. Grandchildren; Darrin, Sean, Bridget, Emily, Aaron, Zachery, and Donovan. Two great grandchildren; Ryan, and Caleb.

Visitation is Wednesday May 14, 2014 from 5-7p.m. Funeral will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE (Division) Springfield, MO. The family has requested donations be made in Harold's name to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
