Iva Mae Hodge
Iva Mae Hodge, 91, longtime resident of the Hurley-Springfield, MO area, died peacefully on November 16, 2013 in Justin, TX. Born in Labette, KS on July 3, 1922, she was an active member on South Creek Church in Springfield, MO.
Iva was a rural school teacher, postmaster, retired K-Mart-ER, quilter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Lady Bears fan. She volunteered at St John's Hospital in Springfield for 15 years.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Wyant, she is survived by daughters, Robin Griffiths and Tammy Hodge; son, Dennis Wyant; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 1:00 pm in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 West State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross Disaster Relief, 1545 N West Bypass, Springfield, MO 65803 in her name.
