James (Buzz) Bass
James (Buzz) Edward Bass went to be with the Lord December 6, 2013, after a sudden illness, at the age of 70. Buzz was born March 10, 1943, to Virgil and Dorcas (Breedlove) Bass. He attended Dogwood School and graduated high school in Seymour. He then joined the Army in 1965 and served as a Reservist for 6 years.
On August 19, 1966, Buzz was united in marriage to Linda Woolsey. To this union, two daughters were born; Stephanie and Missy. He retired from CenturyLink after 33 years of faithful employment. Buzz loved the Lord, and family was of utmost importance. He enjoyed bass fishing, hunting and camping, especially with his three grandsons, Taylor, Tanner and Cody. He was hunting with all three boys when they shot their first deer. Buzz was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Bass; mother, Dorcas Fann; stepfather, John Fann; infant twin daughters from a previous marriage; brother, Raymond Fann; stepbrother, Donnie Fann; stepsister, Dorothy Keller; and mother and father-in-law, Nora and Clint Woolsey. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda, of the home; daughters, Stephanie Bass (Seymour) and Missy Kirk (Odessa, MO); sister, June Bookout and husband, Dwight (Seymour); stepbrother, Norman Fann and wife, Linda (Seymour); three grandsons, Taylor and Tanner Dennis (Seymour) and Cody Kirk (Odessa, MO); many nieces, nephews and cousins, and countless friends. Visitation is Tuesday, December 10, 2013, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 2:00pm, both under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Seymour, MO.
