Janet Ann Dailey

Janet Ann Dailey was born on May 21, 1944 in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was the daughter of Boyd Clayton Haradon & Lena Louise (Zimmer) Haradon. She grew up in Iowa and graduated high school in Independence, Iowa.

Janet married Bill Dailey in 1964 and they later moved to Branson in 1978 from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Janet was both an author and entrepreneur.

She passed away peacefully in her home in Branson on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Louise; and her step-father, Glenn Rutherford; her husband, William Dailey in 2005; two brothers, Paul and Arnold Rutherford; and three brothers-in-law, Don Gerdes, Bill Paton and Richard Bettin.

She is survived by her son, Jim Dailey and wife Mary of Blue Eye, Mo.; her daughter, Linda Scheibe and husband Bob of Hollister; three sisters: Shirley Gerdes, Marilyn Paton and Evelyn Bettin all of Leon, Iowa; four grandchildren: James WM. Maloy Dailey, Jessica (Adam) Owens, Jill Scheibe and Jacob (Erin) Scheibe; three great-grandchildren: Riley McAuliffe, Kate Owens and Lexi Owens; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 19 at 10:00 a.m. in the Williams Memorial Chapel on the campus of College of the Ozarks, Pt. Lookout with Dr. Justin Carswell officiating. Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Williams Memorial Chapel and Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
