John Sahuque, Jr.

John Gerald Sahuque, Jr., of Galena, went to paradise to be with his Lord and Savior April 3, 2014. John was born February 7, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to John G., Sr. and Merilyn Sahuque. John loved God and all of God's children. He proudly served his country in The United States Navy during the Vietnam War and then in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. John never met a stranger and considered everyone a friend, always saying "A stranger was just a friend he hadn't met yet". John loved laughter and was a joy to be around. He will be missed by all who knew him.

John is survived by his wife Claire Sahuque of the home; his children, Nathan John Sahuque, Jeffrey Michael Sahuque both of Springfield, Missouri, Stacey Lobre of Carriere, Mississippi, Stephanie McIntrye and husband Bryan of Galena, Missouri, and Dara LeBlanc and husband Robert of Nixa, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; sisters, Chris Buzbee and husband Glenn of Florida, Cindy Markey and husband Jim of Louisiana, Carol Cardozo and husband Ceaser of Massachusetts, and a brother Richard Sahuque and wife Jeanne of Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A funeral service will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:30 P.M. to service time also at the funeral home.
