Kim Eugene Estes
Kim Eugene Estes, age 64, passed away March 26, 2013 in Springfield, Missouri.
Kim was born in Kansas City, MO on April 15, 1948. He graduated from Ozark High School and served in the United States Army. Kim spent his career working as an industrial machinery salesman. He enjoyed running, cycling, and riding motorcycles. He was happiest spending time with friends and sharing cashew chicken meals with his grandson.
Kim is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals and honors, including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Military Order of the Purple Heart--Chapter 621 Springfield.
Mr. Estes was preceded in death by his father, Carl Estes, his mother, Ruth Stine, his brothers Carl Estes, Jr. and John Estes. He is survived by a wife, Karin Valentine Estes. Also, three children: Ryan Estes, Travis Estes, and Trishna Rosebrough. He leaves behind three grandchildren and other family and friends.
Interment with full military honors will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S Southwood Road, Springfield, MO 65804. Online condolences may be made at gormanscharpf.com.
