Larry Allen McGuire "Mr. Larry"

Son of Lester and Eva (Jones) McGuire of Tarkio, Mo. Larry was born in Fairfax, Mo. on October 24, 1950.

Larry, age 63, peacefully passed away in his home Monday, August 4, 2014.

He graduated from Glendale High Class of 1969. He served in the United States Air Force from 1970-74. He was employed with the Springfield Public Schools for 32 years, retiring from Eugene Fields Elementary. Larry was married to Peggy De La Porte and later divorced.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, C. E. McGuire of Longview, Texas.

Larry is survived by sisters: Gaynel Loveland of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Earlene (Larry) Hicks of Tarkio, Mo., Wilda (Don) Schwenn of Branson West, Mo., and Debbie Closser of Lady Lake, Fla.; sister-in-law, Shirley McGuire of Longview, Texas; lifelong friend, Jirl Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be in Greenlawn East Funeral Home, Thursday, August 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
